Labors of Love
From the time he was a young boy, John S. Mickman was enlisted by his family to help in the small businesses his entrepreneurial father operated—often by the seat of his pants. From dying lambs for Easter to corralling wild Mexican burros for rides at the fair to loading hundreds of wreaths for sale every Christmas season, there was never a dull moment, and John and his brothers learned the rewards of hard work and the thrills of adventure.
